An update on the Chris L. Rucker situation: Detroit Free Press reported today that Rucker was arrested for OWI on Saturday night after the Michigan victory. Blew a .10 behind the wheel, just over the legal limit. In many cases, this would be plead down quickly (see: Korie Lucious), but Rucker is currently on probation because he was at the Rather Hall potluck brawl.
Dantonio said on Sunday that Rucker was gone for at least the Illinois game and after hearing this, I imagine it will be for significantly longer than that. Freshman Darqueeze Dennard will be starting in Rucker's place, backed up by walk-on Mitchell White. This is terrible news for the Spartans, who have been playing solid pass defense all season with the DB's starting to gel in coverage.
